This week we mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the WWII death and labor camps by observing International Holocaust Remembrance Day. We simultaneously mourn the death of the 6 million Jews who were murdered, while also taking pride in the enduring and vital nature of Jewish life today.

This week, through March 11th, the Jewish world is deeply involved in elections for sending delegates to the 38th meeting of the World Zionist Congress. First established in 1897, the WZC meets every five years in Jerusalem, setting direction and controlling significant levels of funding for Jewish organizations in Israel and around the world.

In order to continue building a strong Reform presence in both the US and Israel, Temple Am Echad supports the slate of delegates proposed by ARZA. It is essential that we all vote in this election. Please go to azm.org and participate in supporting religious pluralism and equality in the Jewish world.

B’shalom,
Rabbi Bellush
