Purim Sameach!!!!! Finally, it’s time for celebration full of joy and frivolity, merriment and self-mockery. While there is debate among historians about the veracity of the story of Purim, the story of Jews in exile living at the whims of their rulers is, unfortunately, often repeated in our history. With anti-Semitism on the rise, the idea in the Purim story that there are those who hate the Jewish people is not so far-fetched. It takes strength to put fear aside, and Purim gives us that strength through laughter.
Please join us later today, starting at 5:30, with fun for all ages, followed by dinner. The Shpiel will start promptly at 7:00 pm. Our Shpiel includes verses from Megillat Esther, so it counts to fulfill the mitzvah of reading from the Megillah in a very entertaining way. Hope to see many of you there!
